Traditional Gift
Tuesday, September 20th, 2011The third year anniversary has leather and crystal or glass in the list while the fourth anniversary year dictates the traditional gift as something made up of books, flowers and fruit while the modern gift has electrical appliances on the list. Gemstones like the Amethyst and Topaz are also associated with this fourth year wedding anniversary gift chart. Flower that is associated with the 5th year is daisy while the gemstone is Turquoise. People can give presents that are made of this kind of material. For example, a great idea for a first wedding anniversary gift is a laminated copy of the marriage certificate. Of course, the gift need not be actually cotton or paper. One of the partners can also use this concept in finding the perfect gift for their partners. The names of some anniversaries provide guidance for appropriate or traditional gifts for the spouses to give each other; if there is a party these can be brought by the guests or influence the theme or decoration. The symbols have changed over time. Gifts for anniversaries are no different. Some even prefer it that way because the gifts are more personalized and more fitting to the people who will receive them. As compromise, some people just buy items that are already made and then make it more personalized by adding design elements such as embroideries and stitchings. If you are not much into embroideries, you can just improvise and buy a patch that you can stitch on the item. Initials will also work on caps as well as other designs such as geometric shapes for men and flowers for women. Another idea is to put a continuing phrase on both caps such as Love is blind. You can stitch the word Love on one cap and the words is Blind on the other. It will be a unique way of conveying their relationship. Although this gift idea can be really elementary, it is still viable. Money is the traditional gift in some cultures. These gifts vary in different countries, but some years have well-established connections now common to most nations: 5th Wooden, 10th Tin, 15th Crystal, 20th China, 25th Silver, 30th Pearl, 40th Ruby, 50th Golden, 60th Diamond. For example in the United Kingdom, diamond was a well known symbol for the 75th anniversary, but this changed to the now more common 60th anniversary after Queen Victoria's 60 years on the throne was widely marked as her Diamond Jubilee.
